The color is a very light and translucent green and set so the light can enter from above, below, and the sides. The metal is well polished, smooth, without any jags or rough areas. The stone is securely seated. Be aware the stone does rise above the ring, much in the way many solitaire diamond engagement rings do. I am extremely pleased with this ring.
