Perhaps that reviewer purchased these for a very young daughter, but as a grown woman, I prefer earrings that are more substantial. There were no measurements about these earrings on the description page save the photo that made it seem that the even 1/4 inch size was larger than what I actually got. These are smaller than a standard 5mm gold ball earring many people get for their first pair after having their ears pierced. The color is nice, and the quality seems okay...just miniature.
