(More customer reviews)My fiance wanted this ring because of it's unusual design and she thought the Alexandrite hearts were gorgeous. However, when the ring arrived, the first thing we noticed was that gold band in this ring was extremely thin. She wore the ring out on one date, and we soon noticed that the stone had fallen out. I contacted the seller for an RMA request (defective merchandice) and took the ring to a local jewelsmith for an expert's opinion. He informed us that he could replace the synthetic Alexandrite stone for cheap, but cautioned us that since the 18 carat white gold brackets were extremely thin and weak, he could offer us no guarantee that the bracket would be strong enough to prevent the stone falling out again. Also, due to the ring being so thin, the amount of precious metal in this ring is of very small quantity, hardly worth the purchase price. It seems that the manufacturer of the ring had attempted to eliminate as much material as possible to cut the production cost. The seller was very nice to refund us the money. I would personally recommend that you avoid purchasing this ring unless you never plan on wearing it.
