(More customer reviews)My husband and I have always taken our rings to the jewellers to be cleaned, and between visits we used the solution that they gave us when we bought the rings. This machine has enabled us to clean them at home.
Whilst, in my opinion, the rings don't come up quite as good as they would at the jewellers (I'm sure they have some industrial type machine, there), they are pretty close. We have found that we need to add the tiniest squeeze of dishwashing liquid to the water (it gives the amount to use in the instruction booklet), and with that they come out gleaming.
My husband did try to clean his spectacles but said that they didn't appear to be any different when they were done. I think it's probably better for stones than other things.
