The darker background of the ring brings out the color of the topaz. The stone is large, just like in the picture. At first I thought it was almost too big, compared to the rings I usually wear. However, I got used to it very quickly. The workmanship is great and the details in the design are beautiful. I bought it through Ice on Amazon and item was shipped out quickly. I received it within a few days. Very happy with purchase.
