It looks "special" without being too flashy, and the neutral black/white allows it to basically go with everything. I didn't think the stock image did the design justice so I've uploaded a few customer photos that I think show the twist-pattern better. The way the "waves" of diamonds intersect with each other is very clever, but still maintains a classic look. It reminds me of an eternity knot, which made it a very appropriate anniversary gift.
The design is a little wide, in that the edges of the pave settings touch my adjoining fingers. Doesn't hurt (and I am very sensitive to that kind of thing) just makes me "aware" of the ring. The ring tapers to a plain smooth band in the back and that part of the ring is very comfortable.
Also, be aware that the white diamonds are tiny pave stones...they may or may not be faceted, I can't really tell due to their tiny size. Also, the product photo makes them appear brighter than they are in actuality. The black diamonds are bigger than the white ones and have more shine.
Overall, it's a very pretty ring that I will wear often (and be reminded of my husband's good taste in gifts!) I was thrilled to get it, and think other ladies would also be very pleased to receive this as a gift (or purchase for themselves.)
